Daniele Turi (CTO)

Daniele Turi joined HSS ProService Marketplace as Chief Technology Officer in 2023, bringing over 15 years of technology leadership across high-growth digital marketplaces and globally recognised brands. He is responsible for digital innovation, platform scalability, and delivering a resilient, future-ready marketplace.

Previously, Daniele has served as CTO at AnyJunk for over seven years and held senior technology leadership roles at Time Out. Earlier in his career, Daniele co-founded a personalisation and machine-learning startup in 2006 and led it to a successful exit following its acquisition by Time Out and Oakley Capital in 2011. His technical expertise spans machine learning, data-driven product development, distributed systems, functional programming, and strongly typed systems.

Before moving into industry, Daniele spent seven years working with one of the world’s leading researchers in the semantics of programming languages. His academic work received two Test of Time Awards for the most influential papers in Logic in Computer Science after 20 years. He is recognised for balancing deep technical rigour with pragmatism, and for building engineering organisations closely aligned to commercial outcomes.

Italian by background, Daniele is a proud dad to one, and whenever he gets a bit of spare time, you’ll usually find him practising yoga. It’s something he enjoys for the clarity, focus and balance it brings to everyday life. Family, wellbeing and perspective are really important to him and shape the calm, thoughtful way he approaches every day life.
